Declan has operated in the local Ennis community for over 40 years while manager Mark has been working in public practice since 2007 including 8 years working in Australia. Mary Nestor is the office manager and has been working side by side with Declan since opening in 1995.

MEET THE TEAM
Declan is a member of CPA Ireland and established the practice in 1995. Declan has over 40 years’ experience working on behalf of his clients and a result can offer a wide range of accounting, tax and business solutions for his clients.
Declan enjoys getting to know his clients and their businesses. His expertise includes but is not limited to:
- Succession and estate planning
- Due diligence
- Revenue negotiations
- Company formations and restructures
- Farming
- Construction
- Retail
- Manufacturing
In his spare time Declan is an avid golfer and enjoys travelling.
Mary is our Office Manager/Administrator and deals with all aspects of the day to day running of the business. Mary celebrated 25 years with Coote & Co in 2020 and has accumulated over 30 years’ valuable experience in Company Secretarial/Admin duties.
Mary has built up a close working relationship with all our clients and is always at the end of our phone line to help and assist you with your queries and ensure the smooth running of the business. Mary is also a company secretarial specialist and can assist with all types of CRO filings.
In her spare time Mary enjoys cycling, reading and travelling.
Mark is a Chartered Certified Accountant who after graduating from the University of Limerick in 2007 worked for a practice firm in Dublin who have since merged with Crowe. Following this Mark worked internationally in Perth, Western Australia for PKF.
Having returned to Ennis in 2019 Mark became a manager of the firm. Mark’s experience encompasses clients in various industries including:
- Construction
- Financial services
- Farming
- Not-for-Profit
- Manufacturing
- Retail
- Mining and exploration
Mark is highly skilled in accounting standards and financial reporting having worked as an audit manager primarily with listed clients in Australia. Mark is also experienced in due diligence engagements and advising clients in relation to business/company acquisitions including sourcing financing.
Mark is deadline oriented and is effective and efficient in ensuring that client needs are met.
Outside of the office Mark is kept busy by his 2 kids but sometimes finds time for a round of golf. Mark also enjoys watching the Banner hurlers, rugby and soccer.
